In support of Occupy Oakland, we are letting our employees have the choice to come to work, or to join the demonstration on downtown Oakland.
The Roll Up bike shop will remain open on Wednesday, November 2nd.
All employees are not obligated to show up to work. We have worked it out so that those that want or need the day's wages can earn it, as we will be open as usual. By staying open, will be able to sell crucial parts and supplies to our customers that need to maintain their bicycles, which can affect thier livelihood as working folks. We just may not be able to provide the usual on-the-spot, on-demand maintainence FOR THIS DAY ONLY. We support our co-workers that want to opt-out of a days work and to show support for the Occupy Oakland & Occupy Wall St. movement.
